Also, the cushion of fat that is normally held within the eye socket can bulge forward creating a heavy, lumpy appearance. To remove these unsightly bags, we provide rejuvenating Blepharoplasty (cosmetic eyelid surgery) in our own in-office surgical suite, and thus can avoid the anxiety and expense of going to the hospital. The procedure takes about 20 minutes for each lid and is done merely with a local anesthetic. The incision in the upper lid is made in the normal lid crease, while the incision in the lower lid is made just below the eyelashes.
