A native of Alabama, Dr. Roensch attended Princeton University where she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honorary society and graduated Summa Cum Laude. At the University of Alabama School of Medicine she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha honorary society and a merit scholar. She completed her internship at Georgetown University/Fairfax Hospital in Washingon, D.C and her residency at the prestigious University of Texas Southwestern where she excelled doing special research in multifocal and toric intraocular lenses.

Dr. Roensch is Board Eligible with the American Board of Ophthalmology and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and American Medical Association.

She has treated patients on medical missions in Africa and Central and South America. Her personal interests include horseback riding, dancing, hiking, cycling and travel.
