When having an eye exam, please, please, bring your contact lens specifications or boxes with you. While we can easily determine the prescription power, we have no way of knowing the brand, base curve and diameter of the lenses you are wearing without refitting the lenses (there is a charge for this), or calling the prescriber (who may or may not release the prescription). If the lenses you are wearing fit properly, we can save you time and money if you help us. Also, don't forget your glasses so we can check them too!
Conversion of the old office to our own ambulatory surgery center is moving along nicely. The inside of the building has been totally gutted and framing for the walls is underway. We hope to be finished with renovation by the Fall at which time we will begin our Medicare, state and certifying inspections. The plan is to be operational by the first of the year so that procedures, such as cataract surgery, will no longer have to be performed at the hospital or SCA.
