Conductive Keratoplasty (CK) is done in the office and takes only a few minutes to perform. Prior to the procedure your eye will be completely numbed with eye drops. You will look at a microscopic light and your eye will be marked with a series of dots.

The surgeon will touch the dots with the probe making a full circle around the outer margins of the cornea. Depending on the amount of correction will need, there may be 8 to 32 treatment points.

The first couple of days you may experience some discomfort and light sensitivity as well as glare and halos. These side effects rapidly improve and medications can be used to relieve any discomfort. Most likely, you can resume normal activities the day after your procedure.
