Patients “shopping” for LASIK often ask how we compare to the “discount” corporate centers. It’s a good question that we are always happy to answer.
Evaluation: our LASIK evaluations are done by Dr. Carlin, not an outside doctor, sales consultant, technician or optometrist. All questions and concerns are addressed by him.
Measurements: complete, accurate and comprehensive by Dr. Carlin, not by an optometrist.
Procedure: performed using the most sophisticated blade-free laser technology by Dr. Carlin who has performed 7000+ procedures, not by a surgeon that you’ve never met.
Post-op: done by Dr. Carlin himself, not relegated to a local optometrist or technician.
Focus: our concern is for our patients to receive the best care, so we include follow-up visits for one year, lifetime guarantees, etc. We do not skimp on quality to cut costs.
Fees: our fees are complete and comprehensive. Pre-op glasses, if needed, are complementary, medications are included, as are plugs for dry eyes. There are NO add-ons OR surprises. Corporate counselors are commissioned on how much you pay, so add-ons are the rule, not the exception, at other facilities.
Commitment: ours is to our patients who we take care of for life! Theirs is to the stockholders so patients are considered statistics and sent elsewhere after the procedure. Their center can close at any time if their business is no longer viable.
