Dr Michael WillmanPlease join us in welcoming Dr. Michael Willman to CarlinVision. An experienced ophthalmologist, he was in private practice in Goldsboro, North Carolina for the past 13 years, where his professional interests included glaucoma, cataracts, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease.

Born in Farmington, Michigan and raised in Missouri, Dr. Willman completed his ophthalmology residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center, followed by a Medical and Surgical Glaucoma Fellowship at the University of Louisville. He is board certified and has held academic appointments, lectured and published numerous papers in the Ophthalmic literature.

Dr. Willman is married to Melissa Willman, PA-C and has 3 children —Jeremy, Austin & Brayden. He enjoys family, church, playing classical and jazz piano (he’s restoring his 101 year old piano) and working on classic cars. He spends time watching college football, golf, NASCAR, NHRA events and attending local community activities such as concerts, festivals and fairs.

Dr. Carlin is a highly experienced, board-certified ophthalmologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology with more than five decades of experience in vision care and surgical innovation. A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan before serving in the United States Navy in Key West, Florida. In 1977, he founded CarlinVision and has since built a longstanding reputation for excellence in LASIK, cataract surgery, refractive procedures, and cosmetic eyelid surgery. Throughout his career, Dr. Carlin has completed more than 11,000 procedures and remains at the forefront of advanced laser and refractive technologies. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and an active member of multiple leading professional organizations, reflecting his enduring commitment to clinical excellence and patient care.
