About Dr. Allison R. Tyler

Dr. Allison Roensch

Dr. Allison R. Tyler is a board-certified ophthalmologist with expertise in cataract surgery, eyelid surgery, glaucoma care, refractive lens exchange, and the diagnosis and management of complex eye conditions.

A native of Alabama, Dr. Tyler attended Princeton University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honorary society. She earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honorary society and recognized as a merit scholar.

She completed her internship at Georgetown University/Fairfax Hospital in Washington, D.C., and her residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX. During her residency, she conducted specialized research in multifocal and toric intraocular lenses.

Dr. Tyler is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Medical Association.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Tyler has participated in medical mission trips throughout Africa and Central and South America.

Outside of her practice, she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and son, as well as horseback riding, hiking, and travel.

Dr. Carlin is a highly experienced, board-certified ophthalmologist and Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology with more than five decades of experience in vision care and surgical innovation. A graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, he completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Michigan before serving in the United States Navy in Key West, Florida. In 1977, he founded CarlinVision and has since built a longstanding reputation for excellence in LASIK, cataract surgery, refractive procedures, and cosmetic eyelid surgery. Throughout his career, Dr. Carlin has completed more than 11,000 procedures and remains at the forefront of advanced laser and refractive technologies. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and an active member of multiple leading professional organizations, reflecting his enduring commitment to clinical excellence and patient care.
