Back to School Eye Health

As the school year begins, we are busy checking off the to-do list and buying supplies, but don’t forget about the importance of your child’s eye health. Clear vision is essential for learning! Up to 80% of learning is visual, so even minor vision problems can have a negative effect on focus and comprehension in school. An annual eye exam at CarlinVision can detect nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism, eye coordination, or signs of eye conditions that need prompt attention. We are here to support your family’s eye health and ensure your children are prepared to take on the year with confidence. With a wide variety of frames to suit every style and budget, along with our contact lens department, we will ensure your child’s vision needs are cared for.

What’s New at CarlinVision

There’s always something exciting happening at CarlinVision, and this fall is no exception! If you’ve been considering LASIK, now is the perfect time to begin your journey to 20/20 vision. Throughout September, we’re offering $600 off LASIK. Huge savings! LASIK can provide you the freedom to see clearly without the hassle of glasses or contacts. To secure your spot with this limited time offer, make sure to call Mandy at 770.979.2020 x226 to schedule your free evaluation.

For those who love luxury eyewear, we are excited to introduce you to our Cartier collection in the Optical Boutique. Cartier is known for their timeless elegance and superior craftsmanship, while offering comfort and quality. At CarlinVision, we believe finding the perfect eyewear should be as enjoyable as it is convenient. At your next visit, feel free to stop by the Optical Boutique and our experienced opticians can help you find the perfect new frames, or even designer frames like Cartier, Gucci or Prada. There’s no need to make multiple trips!

Lastly, you may have noticed that our website received a makeover! We’re excited to share that we’ve been working behind the scenes on a new website design. The updated site features a fresh look and improved navigation, making it easier to explore our services and schedule appointments. You can check out this exciting update now at www.carlinvision.com.

End of Year Benefits Reminder

As we reach fall, and the end of the year is in sight, do not let your vision benefits go to waste! Many patients don’t realize that vision insurance plans, flexible spending accounts (FSA) and health savings accounts (HSA) often expire at the end of the year. If you are due for an eye exam, new glasses, or have been considering a procedure, now is the time to take advantage of those benefits before they’re gone. Don’t hesitate to call our office for more information regarding your benefits or check with our staff while you’re here.

Halloween Eye Safety

Halloween is a time for costumes, creativity, and fun, but CarlinVision is here to remind you to be mindful of eye safety! We want you and your family to enjoy the holiday while protecting your vision. Here are a few tips to consider during Halloween this year:

1). Costume Contact Lenses. Be careful with cosmetic contact lenses. Colored contact lenses can be tempting for a final touch on your Halloween costume, but buying them without a prescription can be dangerous. Non-prescribed lenses may not fit properly and could lead to abrasions, infections or even vision loss.

2). Sharp Costume Accessories. Props like wands and swords can be risky, especially for children running around in the dark. Try to choose soft and flexible costume accessories to avoid potential eye injuries.

3). Makeup and Face Paint. Be cautious when using make up and face paint so that it doesn’t get too close to the eye. Some products can cause irritation and scratches on the surface of the eye. When you’re finished with the fun, don’t forget to remove it before bed to prevent eye infections.

From all of us at CarlinVision, we wish you a fun filled and safe holiday season!
