As we step into spring and a new quarter, CarlinVision remains dedicated to delivering exceptional eye care through advanced technology, personalized treatment, and a patient-first approach. In this issue, we’re sharing what’s new, along with a few simple ways we can help you see and enjoy the season a little more clearly.

A New Light In Vision Care: Introducing Valeda

We’re so proud to introduce the Valeda Light Delivery System, an advanced, non-invasive treatment  now available at CarlinVision for patients with dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD). As the first and only FDA approved treatment, Valeda uses photobiomodulation (PMB), a specialized form of light therapy, delivering specific wavelengths of light to the retina to stimulate cellular function and improve energy production within retinal cells. This process helps reduce inflammation and support and health of the macula, which is the part of the eye responsible for central vision.

The treatment is performed in a series of quick, painless in-office sessions and does not involve injections or surgery. There is no downtime after a Valeda session and you may return to normal activities right away. Clinical studies have shown that Valeda can stop the progression of age-related macular degeneration. As part of our commitment to offering the most advanced care, we’re excited to be the only practice in the Atlanta area to provide this innovative option to help protect and preserve your vision. If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with AMD, now is the time to explore treatment options. Call Megan at 770.979.2020 x307 to learn more.

Keep Your Eyes Comfortable

As spring arrives, so does an increase in pollen and allergens that can leave your eyes feeling itchy, watery and irritated. For many people, seasonal allergies can also worsen dry eye symptoms, leading to redness, burning, or a gritty feeling throughout the day. Taking a few simple steps can help protect your eyes and keep them comfortable during this time of year. Avoid rubbing your eyes and wear sunglasses outside to shield your eyes from pollen and wind. Using preservative-free artificial tears can help flush out allergens and keep your eyes hydrated. Persistent redness, irritation, or blurred vision can sometimes indicate dry eye or another underlying condition that may benefit from targeted treatment. Our team at CarlinVision is always here to help you find solution so you can enjoy the warm weather with clear, comfortable vision.

LASIK Making Spring Effortless

Imagine stepping into spring with crisp, clear vision, no glasses, no contacts, just the world in perfect focus. That’s the reality of many of our patients after LASIK, and the timing couldn’t be better for warmer weather and outdoor fun. Picture yourself diving into the pool without worrying about losing a contact lens, or heading on vacation without packing an extra bag full of glasses, solution, and cases. Enjoy baseball games, hiking, or a sunny day at the beach without squinting or constantly adjusting your lenses.

Beyond convenience, LASIK can give you a sense of freedom and confidence in everyday life. Morning routines get shorter, vacations feel easier, and spontaneous adventures are no longer limited by your vision.

At CarlinVision, we love helping patients experience this kind of independence and there’s never been a better season to see it for yourself. With our own state-of-the-art LASIK suite, personalized care every step of the way, and a lifetime guarantee, your vision if our priority. Mandy, our Vision Correction Facilitator, is always happy to answer any questions you may have. Contact her at 770.979.2020 x226.

Spring Cleaning For Your Eyes

We’ve all heard of a “spring refresh.” What about using it as a time to give your eyes some extra care? Just like you prepare for a fresh start, taking a few simple steps can help your eyes feel healthier and more comfortable this season. Start by checking your glasses and sunglasses. Clean lenses regularly and make sure frames are in good condition. If you wear contact lenses, consider replacing old lenses and cleaning your lens cases to reduce the risk of irritation or infection. Take a moment to organize your eye-care products, tossing any expired drops or solutions and keeping fresh ones within easy reach.

Take breaks from screens, get outside for natural light, and blink often to keep your eyes hydrated. And, of course, schedule your regular eye exam if it’s been a while. Prevention is always better than correction. By giving your eyes a little “spring cleaning,” you’ll help keep them clear and comfortable.
