What we are doing for YOUR safety!

By Richard Carlin, MD

Here at CarlinVision, the safety of our patients and staff is our number one priority. So we are opening our doors with new precautions in place. We are following all of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, CDC and state of Georgia guidelines to ensure we can safely provide services within the office and surgery center. We have adjusted our hours as well and limited the volume of patients we see to carefully follow social distancing guidelines. Patients are asked to come to their appointments alone, unless they are minors or elderly needing assistance.

All patients, staff, and doctors are required to wear masks while in the office. We are implementing a new screening protocol upon arrival which includes checking temperatures and asking pertinent questions before entry into the building. Hand sanitizer and masks, if needed, will be provided. We are committed to strict cleaning and disinfecting procedures continuously throughout the day to provide the safest environment possible for all who visit. To decrease time in the office and avoid potential risks, we are also directing patients to our website to update paperwork prior to their visit.

Obviously, we will continue to monitor COVID-19 recommendations and make changes as this situation evolves.

CyberHealth at CarlinVision

For patients who would feel more comfortable not coming into the office, we also offer “CyberHealth at CarlinVision”, virtual telemedicine appointments at your convenience.

Restart elective surgeries

With all of these new safety precautions in place, we feel it is now an appropriate time to restart elective surgeries including Lasik and cosmetic eyelid procedures as well as routine appointments.

Appreciate your understanding

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we proactively take steps to safely care for our patients while also protecting clinical staff. If you have any questions or concerns regarding our new regulations, please feel free to contact our office at 770-979-2020.
