Scientists have developed a new technique that could see reading glasses banished forever! If you are tired of carrying around reading glasses or looking for them all over the house, the revolutionary NEW Raindrop® Near Vision Inlay may be your solution. A 2mm disc is placed in one eye under a flap in the outer layer of the cornea, similar to Lasik, providing excellent near vision without significantly altering the distance vision. This essentially painless 10 minute procedure provides a quick and easy recovery and is intended to be a long-term solution for near vision improvement. Patients can resume normal activities the very next day and typically see results within 1 week. If for any reason you need the inlay taken out, it can easily be removed.

The procedure has been used world-wide for over 10 years with excellent and stable results. Approved by the FDA in June, 2016, CarlinVision is one of only two practices in the Atlanta area certified to perform the procedure.

If you are between the ages of 41-65, wear reading glasses and do not need corrective glasses to see at a distance, you may be a good candidate for the Raindrop procedure. Dr. Richard Carlin will do tests and measurements on your eyes to determine whether you are a good candidate.

Raindrop is an elective procedure and not covered by insurance, but there are several payments options available.
